Kristin (Kris) Rivera

In Loving Memory of Kristin Rivera:

Kristin Rivera, a resident of Sacramento, California, passed away on August 01, 2023, at the age of 57. Born on July 28, 1966, she was a warm and positive spirit. Kristin's departure from this world occurred at Mercy San Juan hospital, where she succumbed to a heart attack and blood clot in her heart. Despite the circumstances, those who were present noted a serene smile upon her face, and she seemed to be at peace.

Born in Riverside, CA, Kristin was the daughter of Thomas Eddie Rivera and the late Teresa Hofmeister (Boggus). She is survived by Patrick Mrofchak, their son Vincent Mrofchak, and Ronald Hofmeister, her step-father. Preceded in death by her mother, Teresa Hofmeister (Boggus).

For approximately five decades, Kristin called Sacramento and North Highlands her home. During her lifetime, she had the opportunity to attend a memorable Kiss concert and even had the pleasure of meeting renowned musicians, Molly Hatchet, and Charlie Daniels, during the early 80s.

She was a positive person, and she had a gift for finding humor in any situation. When a negative thing would come up, she would make a joke to make things more light-hearted.

She loved to laugh and live. She was always smiling. She wanted to be closer to God and she also had a love of people.

She believed that her spirit will be with God. Acts 24:15 says, “And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.” Furthermore, in Romans 6:7, it is written, "For anyone who has died has been set free from sin."

As we bid farewell to Kristin, we take comfort in the belief that she now rests in eternal peace, surrounded by the warmth of God's love.

Rest in peace, dear Kristin. Your memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved you.
